Real-time Charging for Advanced NG and IMS Services

The adoption of next-generation network technology has a significant impact on today’s telecom markets. With next-generation services in place, telecom operators are facing a new situation in terms of real-time service authorization, session management, charging and pricing. Orga Systems’ Online Charging System is geared to meet these challenges and to provide differentiated real-time charging capabilities for advanced 3G, data and IMS-based services. It enables telecom operators to quickly launch sophisticated charging models, promotional pricing campaigns as well as innovative bundles.

The highly modular Online Charging System consists of Orga Systems’ OPSC^® Gold real-time rating & charging environment as well as dedicated mediation and charging functions. These are provided by Orga Systems’ SCP – for Camel-based services – and the Next Generation Control Point (NGCP) for data charging, IP-sessions and Diameter based events.

Orga Systems’ Online Charging System is designed in accordance with the latest 3GPP charging specifications and can be deployed in a highly modular fashion as a replacement of or in combination with existing billing, IN and BSS infrastructures.

The Online Charging Systems can seamlessly be extended to function as a convergent charging system for online and offline charging. In addition, the rating and charging environment can be extended with the OPSC^® Gold Billing module and complementary payment functions. This expands the rating and charging system into a comprehensive end-to-end solution for convergent billing.
